New Awards

AWARDS

For some, the reward is the joy of a well placed arrow at a critical time. For others, the reward is the comradery of shooting with other archers. In addition to these common rewards, there are archery awards at the Baronial and Kingdom level. These awards range from recognition of individual skill and prowess to an acknowledgement of service. A listing of a few of these awards are provided below for your perusal.

 

BARONIAL AWARDS
Barony of Altavia
Order of the Vert Fret – Given for Excellence in Fighting in all forms including Archery.
Order of the Sable Fret – Given for Service.

 

Barony of the Angels
Baronial Recognition of Excellence – Give for special service or other noteworthy activities.

 

Barony of Calafia
Order of the Serpent’s Eye – Given to members of the Archery and Thrown Weapon communities whom not only excel in their form but also strive to improve their community.
Golden Trident – Given for service and leadership to the Barony of Calafia.

 

Barony of Dreiburgen
Order of the Defenders of the Three Towers of Dreiburgen – Given for Service to the Barony in any of the martial arts.
Order of the Three Towers of Dreiburgen – Given for service to those who have consistently demonstrated a willingness to work for the good of the Barony.

Order of the Long Rangers – Earned award given for a specific Baronial archery round shot in the Barony of Dreiburgen. Created by the 2nd Baron of Dreiburgen Master Leo de Coronado in 1987.

Barony of Dun Or
L’Ordre de la Tour d’Azure et d’Or Given for Service to the Barony.

Barony of Gyldenholt
Order of the Gemme d’Or- Given for Service to the Barony.

 

Barony of Lyondemere
Order of the Lion’s Paw – Given for Service to the Barony

Serjeayntes of Lyondemere – Excellence in all martial activities

Barony of Naevehjem
Order of the Dragon’s Foot – Given for Excellence in a Martial form.
Order of the Dragon’s Wing – Given for Service to the Barony.

 

Barony of Nordwache
Order of the Talon and Flame – Given for Excellence in Archery, Thrown Weapons and Combat.

Order of the Fenix d’Or – Given for Service to the Barony.

 

Barony of Starkhafn
Order of the Hoeverska of Starkhafn (Feather) – Given for Excellence in Archery, Thrown Weapons, and Rapier.
Order of the Steinn of Starkhafn (Stone) Given for Service to the Barony.
Order of the Flames of Starkhafn – Given to recognize superior service to the Barony over a span of years.
Order of the Commanders of the Flame of Starkhafn Given for exemplary service and dedication to the Barony of Starkhafn.
Order of the Rangers of the Flame – a polling order for martial excellence in Archery and Thrown Weapons

 

Barony of Western Seas
The WA’A Oar – Given to those who enrich the Barony through the work, dedication, performance and/or Service.
The Baroness’s Guard of Western Seas – Given to unbelted fighters and archers who display qualities of courtesy, chivalry and martial prowess on the field.

 

Barony of Wintermist
No Specific award for archery related activities.

 

KINGDOM LEVEL AWARDS
These awards are given by the King and Queen of Caid.  If you feel that an archer is deserving of one of these awards, please send a letter of recommendation to their Majesties naming the person and their qualifications.

 

The following awards carry with them an Award of Arms
and are of equal precedence to each other.

 

The Order of the Argent Arrow
The award is given to recognize superior skill and appearance in target archery.
The badge for this Order is Azure, an arrow between in fess two crescents argent.

 

The Order of the Dolphin
The Order of the Dolphin was designed to recognize individuals who have served the Kingdom above and beyond the normal expectations of their office. This would include service to the archery community.
The badge for this Order is Azure, a dolphin embowed uriant to sinister argent.

 

The following awards carry with them a Grant of Arms
and are of equal precedence to each other.

 

The Order of Chiron

This award is given to recognize outstanding ability in SCA – style target archery.
The badge for this Order is Azure, a saggitary salient regardant and drawing his bow to sinister a bordure embattled argent. For additional information regarding the Order of

The Order of the Crescent

This Order is awarded to those who give extensive service to the Kingdom.
The badge for this Order is Azure, three crescents conjoined, horns outward, a bordure embattled argent.
